In today’s society, it is not only single ladies who want or need to travel alone. Countless independent ladies do not share the same interests as their husband or partner, or have difficulty arranging holiday dates to coincide with partner’s diaries.
Other ladies of Travel Times’ acquaintance prefer to do their retail therapy in the company of like minded lady friends and we even know of some who thirst for adventure in far flung places to which their other halves would rather not venture.

Yet there are difficulties for the independent lady traveller. Exorbitant single room supplements, discriminatory service or facilities and, in some countries, a sense of vulnerability are all common experiences of ladies who travel alone.
